Encouraged by the joy of recording my first album three years ago, and with the enthusiasm and material for another, this project was launched.

This album reflects the ebb and flow of Irish life: across cultures, emotions and locales. As in a session the strands are fluid: -Trad, O’Carolan, Folk songs, new compositions, and Baroque too.

Once more I teamed up with renowned musicians Paul Kelly and Alan Doherty.  This time we were also joined by Niall Hughes on double bass.

Paul is a superb multi-instrumentalist, Alan is a delicate yet fearless whistle player, and Niall brings delightful rhythms to the music.

The enchanting HellfireStudio was again the venue, – with Joe McGrath recording and Ivan Jackman mixing/mastering. These technical maestros keep the music centre stage, – and boy are they patient!

Finally, thank you and we hope you enjoy the listening as much as we enjoyed the playing.
