I was gifted a wonderful legacy with musical parents from
musical families. At age 5, a tin whistle appeared and I was on
my way.
The old reels flew in our home, along with light opera, Thomas
Moore, Percy French & more. Between “Drowsy Maggie” in
“Marble Halls” to “Oft in the Stilly Night” with “Eileen Óg”, I
was given a good start.
Later, equipped with mandolin and guitar, and inspired by
Turlough O’Carolan, Planxty, Pentangle and the pantheon of
Irish & international folk artists, I enjoyed many a session and gradually found my own musical voice.
Now it feels timely to bring some of my own compositions, along with Traditional, Celtic & Folk music from my travels, into the recording world.
I hope that it might bring enjoyment to you the listeners, especially in the quieter moments, and allow me to make a contribution in fostering the love of music in a younger generation.
